• Dots — OpenAI’s product name is dots / Dots. OpenAI says they are remarkably capable, always-on agents built to handle everything, powered by GPT-6 Astra. Official announcement dated 29 September 2026.
• Always-on AI agent — A field term for assistants that keep working outside a single chat turn. Vendors use their own words. OpenAI describes Dots as always-on agents.
• Meta Muse — Meta’s newsroom describes Muse as a personal AI agent that helps with people’s goals. Official Meta product announcement as of 8 September 2026.
• Claude Sonnet 5.5 — Anthropic announced Claude Sonnet 5.5 on 28 September 2026 as the second Claude 5.5 model. Anthropic says it is available now; API id claude-sonnet-5-5.
